How You Can Help

As you've seen from our feature blogs lately, MMDR is in desperate need of donations to pay our extensive veterinary bills. To date, we have raised $8,860, so we're almost half way of our goal of $20,000! We have experienced a huge number of sick dogs in the last several months and could really use your help!

Here are some great options for helping us out:

Heath & Fitness Challenge

Let's work together to raise funds for all of our pups with Parvo AND reach our health and fitness goals before the holidays!

Donate a minimum of $100.00 to take part in our 6-week health and fitness challenge, proudly sponsored by Revive Fitness.

This challenge will include:

  • Three live sessions with Ainsley McSorley (owner, trainer and nutritionalist of Revive Fitness)
  • Weekly health and fitness challenges
  • Weekly workouts
  • Nutrition tips, recipes, helpful tips, tools and so much more!
  • Motivation, support and everything you need to reach your goals!

Take the challenge and reach your goals TODAY! To register, please email corporate@manitobamutts.org. Challenge starts Nov 12!

Pennies for Pooches

With Canada saying goodbye to the penny in 2013 we want to help take them off your hands. Help out by collecting coins from your friends, family, co-workers and neighbours, and email outreach@manitobamutts.org with your donations!

Mom’s Pantry

Come get your Mom’s Pantry cookies, spices, perogies, and more, and support Manitoba Mutts all at the same time at our Mom’s Pantry Fundraiser. Orders can be placed online at www.momspantry.ca with order number 92488, and group password 40306. If you would like an order form please contact outreach@manitobamutts.org. All orders will be accepted until Nov 9. Help MMDR and get some yummy treats all at the same time!

Gift Card Fundraiser

Great option for those hard to buy for loved ones! You can purchase gift cards for various different retailers, including: Canadian Tire, The Bay, The Keg, Gap, La Senza, Mark’s and more! Go to www.fundscrip.com and sign up with the invitation code B6QFMJ. These orders are paid directly to Fundscrip and are shipped right away once payment is confirmed. Please use the electronic funds transfer option or online bill payment as credit card payments decrease MMDR’s earnings!

Cesar Milan Tickets

Do you love The Dog Whisperer? So do we! We have up for grabs 3 tickets to see Cesar Milan in Winnipeg! We're holding a raffle for these tickets at a cost of $5 per entry. To enter for a chance to win and support our Mutts, visit http://manitobamutts.chipin.com/cesar-millan-tickets-3.

Cause 4 Paws Holidays Gifts

In lieu of gifts for your loved ones this holiday season, purchase a gift from our gift-giving catalog to support our dogs in need. Download the gift giving catalog and email donate@manitobamutts.org to place your order.

ChipIn

As always, our chipin is still available for donations! http://manitobamutts.chipin.com/mmdr

We at Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue would like to thank you for your ongoing donations and support! Without your generosity towards our deserving dogs, we would never be able to continue to help them. Please spread the word and encourage others to donate towards the care of our dogs!

Sponsor a Mutt in Need

MMDR

Sunshine is battling Heartworm
At Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue we bring dogs into our rescue requiring our help. We thrive to help as many dogs in our backyards as possible, some strays from Winnipeg and rural Manitoba, some surrendered by their owner for varies reasons and some come into cares in their womb of their mothers about to give birth. When a dog is brought into MMDR they are fully examined by a veterinarian. Many of these dogs have had a rough life and require costly and expensive treatments.  Whether it heartworm, an injure leg causing pain or any other aliment, we believe that every dog deserves a chance at a happy life.

At MMDR we hear a lot about how people would love to foster or adopt but it is not in their cards for the time being. If you are looking to help out, why not Sponsor a Mutt? By contributing to a dog in need, you can be their virtual foster parent, helping that dog become the pet he or she can be.

How to Sponsor a Mutt? Visit our website to donate at http://www.manitobamutts.org/donate.html and specify if there is a dog in particular that caught your heart or if you want to help all our mutts in need.  In addition, non-monetary donations are also greatly appreciate: Dog & Puppy Food (we always prefer puppy food as most of the dogs that come to us are starved and need the fat content of puppy food in order to put on weight), Dog Kennels (new or used - our dogs don't mind),  Dog Collars & Leashes (new or used) Blankets, Paper Towels, Newspaper & Puppy Pads (for training puppies),  Dog toys and treats (dogs love to play, too you know), Kiddie Pool (for our mommas with puppies),  X-pens, Baby gates, Advertising donations, prize donations (for events), and other various donations.

Pennies for Pooches is another fundraising initiatives to raise funds for our dogs in need. Since pennies will not longer be produced in Canada, you may be looking for a way to part with the ones you currently have. Manitoba Mutts will happily take your pennies off your hands. Be creative – this is a fundraiser for all ages including children.

Keep checking our website, Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for all our fundraising events. Also, remember to please spread the word about Manitoba Mutts and what we do!
